Our term 3 Educational Leader meeting welcomed Associate Consultant Amanda Bartram from Lisa Burman Consulting in Pedagogical Growth, and focused on research and professional inquiry.
Amanda presented a workshop on the image of the child and open-ended invitations for learning, inviting our Educational Leaders to engage in professional inquiry as they reflect on pedagogical curriculum and practice decision-making.
Our Educational Leaders reflected deeply on their own image of the child, how this is has been shaped by their personal and professional journeys, and how this influences curriculum and practice decision-making. We look forward to Amanda returning for our term 4 Educational Leader meeting, where she will continue to support our professional inquiry.
Educational Leaders spent time networking in their area hubs, reflecting on their role and how they document their mentoring, sharing ideas for incursions, excursions, and community involvement, and continuing their conversations about re-connecting and re-engaging with The Early Years Learning Framework Version 2.
Remarkable curriculum and practice stories shared by our presenting Educational Leaders to inspire our community:
- “Natural and heuristic learning”, how the Educational Leader role supports educators to research, reflect and develop knowledge of play schemas and heuristic play practices; Presented by Educational Leader Miss Brooke from Allenby Gardens
- “Inclusive Curriculums”, how the Educational Leader role supports educators to research, reflect and develop inclusive curriculum practices; Presented by Educational Leader Nadia from Angle Vale
