Rostrevor College Stepping Stone Early Learning Centre provides a safe, comfortable and enriching learning environment for the early learners of our community. Our environment is one where our educators will build nurturing and trusting relationships with children, families and the wider community.
We use the Early Years Learning Framework as a platform to ensure children continue to learn and develop through play and enhanced through intentional teaching.
We offer an outstanding, purpose built centre, where we cater for children from 6 weeks and can see them right through until they start their schooling.
We have a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher on site, who delivers a comprehensive pre-school program, and works closely with the Junior school staff at Rostrevor College.
It is this close working relationship with Rostrevor College which sets us apart from most. This relationship sees us utilising many of the College facilities, including library visits, their gymnasium, ovals, and environment centre as well as attending buddy class activities with the reception and year 1 class.
Through our work with the College, we are able to assist with a smooth, relaxed transition from early learning to school for our children.
We look forward to showing you through our wonderful centre.

Meet the Centre Director
Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am the Centre Director of Rostrevor College Stepping Stone ELC, welcome to our beautiful centre. Our focus is on building trusting and secure relationships with families and children, getting in touch with the wider community and providing an educational program that shows each child’s interest and individual needs are met. We are all about culture within; by connecting with our families, staff team and the wider community. We ensure every child is provided with opportunities to learn, investigate and explore whilst encouraging them to play in a fun and safe play space. Our centre offers warmth, love and support from all our Educators, who are energetic and dedicated to delivering the highest quality care.
When I was younger, I had always thought I would work in childcare. We were always around other children growing up. With this, it inspired me to complete a VET course in Year 12 which led me to working in the industry since 2007. I went on to complete my Diploma in Children’s Services all whilst getting married and building our first home. I joined Stepping Stone in October 2016 and have been lucky enough to have worked in various roles within the centre building my way up to my current role. During this time, I have become a mother to two beautifully amazing boys who keep me extremely busy! We love spending quality time on our weekends together going to play cafes, parks, exploring the outdoors, catching up with friends and enjoying delicious food and drinks. We also love to travel and we have been ever so blessed to be able to go away on many overseas holidays.
I am so privileged to be in my position as Centre Director here at Rostrevor College Stepping Stone ELC and lead this amazing team. Our team her look forward to building and creating a beautiful environment for your children. For us to provide your children with the opportunity to be the best that they can be, encouraging them to play and learn whilst having fun in their own journey of life. Using play as a foundation for the stepping stone in each child’s learning to allow them to be stimulated, watch them grow and help foster their own learning. Our staff are compassionate, some are parents themselves and are highly committed to the role they play here.
I look forward to meeting with you and showing you through our remarkable centre.
