Overview

At Stepping Stone Klemzig we have 2 large outdoor areas which are separated at either side of the building determined by age groups. We have multiple fruit trees and vegetable gardens throughout the yards accessible to all children.  Enclosed amongst growing vines is a delightful alfresco eating space where herbs are also grown.  Our gardens are a combination of natural and synthetic coverings, encompassing oversized verandas around the building to maximise ‘sun smart’ learning through play.

We are located near schools and parks and are situated opposite the Adelaide Metro Interchange at Klemzig.

Meet the centre director

Alex - director

My name is Alex Perry and I am the Centre Director here at Stepping Stone Klemzig. I have over 15 years’ experience as an educator working in the early year’s sector. I am married and have three adult children who keep me busy and who play an important role in my life. I have been with the Stepping Stone (SA) family since 2010. During this time I have worked across several centres and have had the opportunity to advance; from Educator to Team Leader and from Assistant Director to now Centre Director. In my spare time I love the company of family and friends, having a good laugh and eating great food. My all-time favourite pass time is taking long rides through the hills on the back of my husband’s Harley Davidson and stopping at cafés. I consider myself fairly active and enjoy work outs at the Gym and walking my dogs. We adopt a holistic approach, recognising the need to foster secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships where families’ values are embraced; ensuring that all children feel safe, secure and supported. Our team of dedicated educators welcomes you and looks forward to getting to know you and your child/ren as together we take a learning journey that is fun and provides opportunity for learning and experiences based on your child’s different stages of development. We look forward to working with you.
