Delivering quality childcare to families in Lockleys and surrounding areas

We have 5 rooms offering an extensive range of educational resources. A planting area provides opportunities for children to regularly engage in growing and nurturing a variety of plants and fruits, which can then be used in cooking experiences. Take a sneak peek inside our centre below...

About the centre

We have two lovely outdoor spaces both filled with a range of natural elements including rocks, sand, pebbles, bark and plants for the children to explore. We have a planting section that is filled with fruit trees, vegetable patches and flowers that provides children opportunities to begin to develop an understanding and appreciation of environmental sustainability.

Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework ensuring all children are supported to develop and reach milestones at their own pace. Opportunities are provided for families to meet with educators to discuss their child’s progress and contribute input into their child’s learning journey.

We embrace all cultures and encourage families to share important traditions and celebrations with the centre to be included in the program for all children to experience.

Stepping Stone Lockleys is a place where children can learn, grow and develop and create lifelong memories.

It was so important for us to find a childcare centre that would essentially be an extension of our home. It has almost been 12 months now since our son joined the centre and we count ourselves so lucky. The staff consistently keep us updated as to our little man’s progress. Meet the Centre Director

I would like to introduce myself, I am Sheridan and I’ll be stepping into the role of Centre Director here at Lockleys.

I have been in the childcare industry for nearly 19 years, during this time I worked overseas caring for children on Disney Cruises before returning to Adelaide and joining the Stepping Stone family.

I have been lucky enough to work at our Stepping Stone West Beach Centre, since 2018. I worked as a leading educator and then Assistant Director. I now look forward to the new challenge and growing my development as Centre Director with you all here at Lockleys.

I look forward to meeting you all and building relationships with you and your children.
