Recognising the significance of mental health for the safety, wellbeing and development of the children, families and educators across our communities, Stepping Stone (SA) has made a commitment to Be You, the national mental health in education initiative.
Our Be You Organisational Leaders and Action Team Leaders have an intentional focus for developing professional knowledge and practices, fostering positive, inclusive and resilient learning communities across our services.
At our recent Be You meeting, our Action Team Leaders further developed their understanding of the Be You initiative, and mental health literacies. Our Be You consultant and Pedagogical Mentors facilitated a rich session of research and reflection, focusing on mental health risk and protective factors, unpacking the significance and correlation of attachment theories, relationships and play for mental health.
Our Pedagogical Mentors facilitated training on Mentoring, supported by research on Implementation Science presented by our Be You consultant, who provided training on Active Implementation – creating a plan for effective implementation.
