With an increasing number of families currently isolating at home and unable to attend their local childcare centre, we have collated a list of useful learning resources you can use at home to continue to develop your children’s literacy and numeracy skills.
Below is a collection of fun, accessible and practical activities you can do with your children at home to help them learn.
As well as engaging in some of the resources below, children can also develop their numeracy skills through everyday tasks carried out in the home. For example, helping to count the number of apples in the fruit bowl or telling the time on the kitchen clock are great ways to constantly enhance their skills.
Likewise, activities such as reading books, listening and dancing to music and actively engaging your children in conversation are great ways to further literacy and language development.
