Educational Leaders came together for their final 2025 meeting, embracing the joy, curiosity, and wonder that sit at the heart of early childhood education.
Stepping into the shoes of young children, they immersed themselves in rich, unhurried, hands-on learning environments designed to provoke deep thinking about curriculum and practice.
Throughout the day, leaders reflected on key pedagogical concepts, including:
- Play-based learning approaches
- Wondering and listening pedagogies
- Slow pedagogy
- Process art
- Children’s rights and agency
- Children’s safety
- Social and emotional wellbeing
- The environment as the third teacher
- Child-centred curriculum … and more.
These reflections were deeply grounded in the Early Years Learning Framework—its principles of Belonging, Being, and Becoming; its focus on strong relationships; and its emphasis on unhurried, curiosity-led, joyful exploration that supports meaningful growth and learning.
The meeting also provided a valuable opportunity to look back on a year of mentoring, leadership, and collective growth across our centres, as well as to look ahead – considering what learning will continue and what new journeys await in the coming year.

Filled with Christmas cheer and a shared passion for early childhood education, the gathering was a wonderful way to conclude the year and celebrate the impactful work of our Educational Leaders.
