New Child Care Package for Families

From 2 July 2018, Australia will have a new child care package. Under the new package, the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) will replace the existing Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate.  CCS will be the main way the Government assists families with their child care fees.

Munch, Play, Learn DVD

Our Happy Valley Centre together with Opal launch Munch, Play, Learn DVD

The Munch, Play and Learn DVD is a healthy eating and physical activity resource for early childhood educators working across various settings, including Family day care.

Also as a highly recommended resource for parents and babies of young children to encourage and promote healthy choices in the early years.

The Munch, Play, Learn video will soon be available on the SA Health website www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/healthyliving in a new section of ‘healthy eating and physical activity resources for early childhood educators’. This new section will include general resources for all early childhood educators, as well as resources specific to various settings including child care; preschools and integrated centres; Family Day Care; and recommended resources for parents of babies and young children. Further information will be provided across the early childhood sector when this new section is finalised.
