New Child Care Package for Families

From 2 July 2018, Australia will have a new child care package. Under the new package, the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) will replace the existing Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate.  CCS will be the main way the Government assists families with their child care fees.

Please follow the links below for more information and to see how these changes may affect you.

Fees and Charges

Stepping Stone (SA) aims to provide a quality service to families at an affordable price.

Our centres are all registered with Centrelink and eligible for Child Care Benefits (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) so parents can benefit from funding support. You are able to apply for CCB by contacting your local Family Assistance Office (FAO), situated in Centrelink, or by phoning 136 150.  We recommend that you apply for CCB prior to commencing care at our centre.  This will ensure you receive your entitlement from the day you start.

Fees are charged for all days your Child is booked into care including sick days and annual holidays. Unlike many centres, Stepping Stone (SA) charges a reduced fee for public holidays.

Vacancies vary throughout the year and you are encouraged to enrol your child early, especially for New Year placements. To find out more or to enrol your child into a Stepping Stone (SA) centre near you, click here.
