Stepping Stone (SA) Childcare & Early Development Centres Pty Ltd was formed in November 2006.

 

The Company Directors are:

Mr George Skrembos and Mr Danny Scinto.

 

George and Danny have had many years of successfully operating a growing and developing building and construction company called Eastern Building Group Pty Ltd.

Eastern Building Group commenced building Child Care facilities in 2003 for interstate clients and became increasingly aware of the need for purpose built quality facilities to be owned and operated by a South Australian company who is in touch with the requirements and expectations of South Australian families.

In order to achieve their goal, George and Danny have ensured the key personnel employed in Stepping Stone (SA) all have many years experience working in child care centres in South Australia, and  are able to apply their local experience and skills to meet our families' needs.

 

The General Manager is:

Helen Ketley.

 

Helen has been involved in Child Care for over 25 years including:

• - Experience in all aspects of providing care for children while developing into a manager.
• - Managing one of Adelaide’s leading Child Care Centres for ten years.
• - Assisting two small interstate Child Care providers to establish themselves in South Australia.
• - Actively involved with developing and delivering achievable and professional development opportunities for employees
• - Mentoring and supporting Directors and staff from other child care facilities in management and personal development areas.

We are 100% owned and operated by South Australians with a focus on the local community.   This is achieved through the provision of child care services, employment opportunities and support for local community events.

 

The location of each Centre is selected to meet the needs of the local and extended community.  Each Centre is individually designed to compliment the usable ground space, the immediate environment and surrounding buildings.

 

Families accessing a Stepping Stone (SA) Centre will be part of a unique environment.  They will be able to appreciate and understand the quality service we can offer.  Individual needs from families will be listened to and addressed quickly, establishing a trusting and respectful relationship.

 

Each Centre will be led by an experienced Director or Manager.  Where possible, our Staff Team will be from surrounding suburbs and will have knowledge and understanding of the local events and issues.  All employees will be encouraged to continually improve their skills and knowledge through personal and professional developmental opportunities.

 

Stepping Stone (SA) Childcare & Early Development Centres Pty. Ltd. is developing a reputation for the provision of quality services. This reputation has been developed through close adherence to Licensing and Standards requirements, meeting Quality Assurance requirements and the provision of excellent care by a caring and dedicated staff team.  By setting and maintaining high standards and expectations throughout the company the families attending our services are able to express their satisfaction both to our staff and to other people within the community.

 

Stepping Stone (SA) currently has seven Child Care Centres operating in the wider Adelaide metropolitan area.  We also have four centres under construction, three of which will open in late 2008, and one that will operate in Adelaide city, opening mid 2009.   In addition to these, Stepping Stone (SA) has plans on the drawing board for additional centres throughout South Australia.
 

The Company's vision is to operate up to 20 highly credentialed and recognised Centres by 2010.
